Gremlin (Widgets, Fifinellas) For Future Upcoming Show
(acrylic on panel 8X10)

A Gremlin is a mythological creature that causes mischief, mayhem, and mechanical failures. The first written report was during World War II in the 1940's but some say they were around since the 1920's. They are most commonly blamed for sabotaging aircraft. During WWII Gremlins were blamed for many of the malfunctions of Britain's Royal Air Force. Roald Dahl created a novel "The Gremlins" and since then they have shown up in Disney and Warner Bros. cartoons and have had feature length movies.
