Phoenix For Future Upcoming Show
(acrylic & spray paint on panel 8X10)

The Phoenix is a firebird from Egyptian mythology. The feathers of the Phoenix are red, orange and gold. After a very long life (about 500 years) the Phoenix builds a nest and then spontaneous combusts. From the ashes of the nest and the bird a new Phoenix chick arises. The Phoenix also has the power to heal itself when hurt. Many cultures have used the Phoenix as a symbol of fire and immortality. I decided to illustrate this mythology as a newborn baby Phoenix.
